WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE ORGANIZED?

Everyone would like to have peace of mind, less stress in his or her life and be able to find things when they want them without searching for an hour just to give up in frustration! So where do those people who say they are “organized” get their ability? Is “disorganization” a “genetic defect”?…  NO! Organizing is a process that anyone can learn to do. Each person is unique in their personality and approach to the process of organization in their life. Some people need help, and some people don’t.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines “organization” as:

*The word “clutter” is derived from the Middle English word “clotter” which means to coagulate and, is defined as “a crowded and untidy collection of things”. Clutter can be mental, physical, spiritual or energetic.

So, how does one “get organized”?

One approach to getting organized which has proven successful is a four step process:

And remember…
“Getting organized” does not necessarily mean “throwing everything out”.

Because each person is unique, there are many different approaches to getting organized and each method is equally valid.
